THE FUEL CARD

THE PURPOSE OF THE CARD

The basic purpose of this card is to supply employees of the user departments with a card they can use for the procurement of goods and services as specified herein (fuel, oil, lubricant, routine services, etc.) and the emergency procurement of tires and repairs, as required.

OPTION 1.2.2 - NON-VEHICLE SPECIFIC CARD

The Non Vehicle-specific Fleet Card is not tied to any specific vehicle or equipment. The cost for each card shall be based as a per card per month basis. (SOW paragraph 4.2.1)

Transactions generated through the Fleet Cards are captured under the card number in our system and are linked to its respective cost/sub-account.

All of this information is stored into the ARI Financial Services database for further reference and/or to generate reports.

As in the case of Vehicle-specific Fleet Cards, Non Vehicle-Specific Fleet Cards are sent to the User Department accompanied by a Handbook for Users of Government of Canada/ARI Canada Cards. These Handbooks include instructions for the card users and are fully bilingual.

Non Vehicle-Specific Fleet Cards are subject to the same guidelines and offers the same advantages as the Vehicle-Specific Fleet Cards with the exception that it is not linked to a vehicle.

Any discounts received by the Client Department from transactions performed through the use of this card will "flow through" to the client and no fees will be charged to suppliers in the processing of invoices and/or payments resulting from such transactions.

OPTION 1.2.2 - VEHICLE SPECIFIC CARD

The basic purpose of this card is essentially the same as specified in Non Vehicle-specific Fleet Card except that it is tied to a specific vehicle or equipment. (SOW paragraph 4.3.1)
