Throughout the year, I’m fortunate to connect with many of you during various meetings and events and while these opportunities are certainly engaging, nothing quite compares to enthusiasm surrounding our annual Best in Fleet conference. The energy in the room is nothing short of remarkable as some of the brightest minds in our profession convene for two days of candid, passionate conversations about the future of our industry.
Now in its third year, the conference focuses on sharing proven fleet management solutions and exploring the future of mobility to help your organizations prepare today for the fleet challenges – and opportunities – of tomorrow. This year, more than 160 senior leaders and executives convened in Florida with a collective goal of leveraging fleet to drive organizational success.
Here’s a brief recap of the educational and discussion sessions from the event:
- A preview of several new solutions and tools in the pipeline and how these innovations can have an immediate influence on your fleet operations.
- Together we celebrated the achievements of a longtime client partner, highlighting the real-world savings driven by a comprehensive fleet rightsizing project.
- A discussion around the value of telematics and how this rapidly evolving technology will bring meaningful improvements to your business. We welcomed technology specialists from Ford and GM that shared some of the latest innovations and market trends.
- A look at the future of fleet and what businesses should do now to prepare for emerging mobility trends on the horizon. With innovation and mobility very much top-of-mind, our Holman Strategic Ventures group provided a glimpse into the some of the key initiatives that will allow ARI and our customers to remain agile and adapt to these trends.
Among my personal highlights of the conference was a conversation around how our Customer Experience Initiative is poised to empower fleet stakeholders. We shared how the investment we’re making in our client-facing technology will enhance the experience for all your fleet stakeholders – from drivers to executives – ultimately making it easier for you to do business with ARI. Chris Conroy, president and CEO of Holman Business Services, also shared the principles of the Holman Way that serve as the foundation for how we conduct business, support our customers and the way our employees work together every day.
The two-day event also featured presentations from two renowned guest speakers. Author and prominent industry expert Lukas Neckermann kicked-off day two by covering four key mobility trends that are poised to disrupt the landscape of traditional fleet management – autonomy, connectivity, electrification and shared vehicles. Lukas offered his unique perspective on the future of mobility and where that innovation may lead our industry. Later in the day, star of ABC’s Shark Tank, “Mr. Wonderful” himself Kevin O’Leary shared his inspirational story of success and offered lessons in leadership to close the conference.
An event unlike any other, the annual Best in Fleet conference is without question among the highlights of the year for our entire organization. It is an opportunity to share information, connect with leaders from across a variety of industries, participate in spirited, thought-provoking discussions and together, continue to shape the future of our profession. But more than anything else, it’s our chance to engage with an extraordinary collection of business partners, colleagues, and friends as we celebrate our collective successes and team up to tackle new challenges.
We’ll harness the passion and enthusiasm from this event to fuel our promise of continuing to develop innovative fleet management solutions and deliver unrivaled service excellence.
